Interactive Course Challenge (Results)

The Interactive Course Challenge at codedamn aimed at encouraging creators to create high-quality interactive courses that provide valuable information and hands-on experience in various programming fields.

This challenge was a great opportunity for creators to showcase their skills and contribute to the growth of our coding community.

Today, we’re super excited to announce the results of this challenge (held from 12 February, 2023 to 3rd April, 2023). In this blog post, you’ll find a detailed summary of all the submitted courses and their evaluation.

Let’s go!

Submissions

We received a lot of submissions covering a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to) web development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more! It was truly inspiring to see so many talented individuals putting their best foot forward in creating engaging courses for fellow learners.

Below is the detailed list of all the submitted courses along with their creators and other various metrics for evaluation:

Evaluation

We have carefully evaluated all the submitted courses based on the following criteria.

  1. Content quality: The course must provide valuable information that is easy to understand and relevant to the topic.
  2. Interactive experience: The course must incorporate hands-on labs and projects to provide an interactive learning experience.
  3. User experience: The course must be easy to navigate and have a user-friendly interface.
  4. Topic relevancy: How relevant and popular your course topic is according to current standards.

Additionally, we’ve taken in consideration of the following evaluative metrics to bring out the best courses:

  1. The course duration should be at least 2.5 hours.
  2. The course should have at least 30% of interactive content (labs) and spread throughout the course.
  3. At least 50% of the interactive content (labs) should be evaluative. This means labs with no challenge, and test cases to pass would be counted as interactive labs but wouldn’t be counted as evaluative interactive labs.
  4. If there are videos in the course, the audio/video should be high quality.
    • Video: At least 1080p resolution.
    • Audio: Shouldn’t have background noise, be low in volume
    • Tutorial: Should be crisp, to the point, and be valuable to the end user.

Results

We were delighted to see the participation and the efforts poured in by all the creators. It was undoubtedly tough for the team to evaluate the best courses out of all the submitted ones. But, after careful consideration, we have cherry picked the best courses which stood out amongst the lot and met all our evaluative criteria.

Below is a list of all the courses which are eligible for an award of $1,000 each.

All the further details regarding the award will be shared with the respective winners via email. In case you have any query, feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected]

We thank all the creators for their efforts in the courses and for their participation in the program. To keep the enthusiasm burning, we will have more such instructor competitions in the future.

Until then, good luck and keep on creating!
